Winecoff's Dual Immersion Program

Winecoff Elementary School is a vibrant learning community dedicated to fostering academic excellence and cultural enrichment. Our Dual Immersion Spanish program offers students the unique opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate, preparing them for a globally connected future. The program is supported by a diverse team of talented educators from Spanish-speaking countries such as Argentina, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Peru, and Venezuela, who bring their rich cultures and linguistic expertise to our classrooms. This diversity not only enhances the learning experience but also celebrates the beauty of multiculturalism within our school community.

Winecoff Elementary is proud to recognize three outstanding educators who go above and beyond to support our students and school community. ~ Teacher of the Year: Tonda Edwards – A dedicated and inspiring educator, Mrs. Edwards brings passion, creativity, and a deep commitment to student success every day. ~ Beginning Teacher of the Year: Natalie Jenkins – Now in her second year of teaching, Ms. Jenkins continues to shine with her enthusiasm, dedication, and fresh approach to education. ~ Teacher Assistant of the Year: Linda Mitchell – With her unwavering support and kindness, Ms. Mitchell plays a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
