Hi! I am Lisa Hagen and I am thrilled to be a part of the Winecoff Community.  I have been an educator for the past 15 years, in classrooms, in school leadership roles as well as at the district level.  I come from an education family, my mom taught 5^th grade for 32 years and my sister currently teaches 2^nd grade.  I believe that when we are all working together, students thrive and grow.  I am looking forward to continuing the achievements that Winecfoff has had recently. 

I love a good puzzle and working with others to help find a solution, and can’t wait to do that with you all!  It has been my experience that listening is the key to the foundation of any relationship, and that we all have value to add.  Please know that I am here to support you, the students we work with and the families we serve. 

I was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to Buffalo, New York when I was 10. I miss many things about Colorado and New York, but the snow is not one of them😉. Luckily I get back often, my brother lives in CO and my sister lives in NY. My family and I moved to Charlotte in 2008, and we have enjoyed making Charlotte our home. When I am not at school I can be found creating in the kitchen, exploring the outdoors or reading a good book on my back porch.

Hello Winecoff Family!

As a member of the administration team, I plan to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, families, and the community to do what is best for our students.

A little bit about myself, I grew up in Houston, Texas so I love the Cowboys, Texans, Rockets, and the Astros. I do love the Panthers, both my children are North Carolina Natives, so naturally we love all things, Charlotte.

I am currently working at Boger Elementary School, where I will finish my 3rd year before transitioning to Winecoff for the new school year. I taught at Concord Middle School and completed my Principal internship at W.M. Irvin Elementary School. Before becoming an educator, I worked in Community Outreach as a Health Educator for many years. I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Florida, where I met my husband (married 25 years)! GO GATORS!!!!! I am a mother of two amazing children. I completed my Masters in Administration through the NC Principal Fellows Program at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

I strongly believe that you must support and grow the whole child. I am very inspired by our future leaders, and it drives me to the best that I can to help them achieve all that they can and want. My number one priority is our children, I believe that working together we will help them achieve success in all areas of their life.
